Coach Chris Love
Coach Chris Love has been a member of the Oak Mountain High School family for seven years. He was born in Hayleyville, Alabama and attend Huffman High School. After graduating from Huffman, Coach Love attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in math education. He also attend Jacksonville State University where he recently completed his preliminary certificate in driver's education. Coach Love began coaching at Huffman High School in 1989. For six years, he served as the head junior varsity basketball coach, assistant football coach, and offensive coordinator in 1995. Coach Love then made the move to Chelsea High School and served as the head freshman football coach and head varsity basketball coach. In 1999, Coach Love joined the Oak Mountain High School staff in its inaugural season. While at Oak Mountain, he has served as an assistant varsity football coach and assistant varsity basketball coach. Recently, Coach Love has been named the new offensive coordinator, while still serving as assistant varsity basketball coach. Coach Love is married to the former Sarah Self of Leeds. They have been married for four years and have two sons, Luke, 3 and Eli, 3 months. Coach Love has been an educator for 16 years and currently teaches driver's education at Oak Mountain. He currently resides in the Alabaster community.
