Coach Brooks Barron
Coach Brooks Barron is a new member of the Oak Mountain Family. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was an All-State quarterback at John Carroll Catholic High School. After graduating from John Carroll, he went on to play football at Jacksonville State University, where he received all academic honors whilde playing quarterback and defensive back. He received all academic honors while playing quarterback and defensive back. He completed his studies at Jacksonville State with a bachelor's and master's degree in physical education. Coach Barron will also be awarded an educational specialist degree in physical education in August of 2005. Coach Barron began coach at Ohatchee high School in 2000. He served as the wide receivers' and defensive backs' coach and the head varsity basketball coach. In 2002, Coach Barron Joined the staff at Harrelson County High School in Georgia. He was responsible for the quarterback position and served as the offensive coordinator. Coach Barron joined the Oak Mountain High School Staff in 2005. Currently, he is serving as the wide receivers' coach and the strength and conditioning coordinator Coach Barron is married to the former Tamra Mims of Clanton. They have been married for ten years and have one son, Brock, 10 months. Coach Barron has been an educator for four years and teaches physical education at Oak Mountain. He currently resides in the Clanton community.
