From the 2004 – 2005 Athletic Booster President: 

       On behalf of the Oak Mountain High School Athletic Boosters Officers and Board, thank you for your participation and support of our athletic department.  By any measure, our student athletes and athletic department have achieved significant accomplishments in our brief school history. 

       We are very excited about the new direction, leadership and opportunities for success in our athletic department at Oak Mountain High School.  Under the leadership of Jerry Hood, Head Football Coach and Boys Athletic Director and Danny DuBose, Head Softball Coach and Girls Athletic Director, we sense a rejuvenated spirit within the Oak Mountain community.  A renewed commitment and support of Oak Mountain Athletics is evident. 

Our athletic department leadership is comprised of twenty-four talented and dedicated men and women.  We are extremely fortunate at Oak Mountain to have the quality athletic staff that genuinely cares about our student athletes.  Our coaches provide the leadership, support and disciplines to ensure our children are the best in the academic and athletic arenas in our region, and class 6A sports. 

            As parents of student athletes and Oak Mountain Athletic Boosters, our responsibility and commitment is to support our student athletes, and the initiatives of the athletic directors and coaching staffs.  When we are successful, we will enable our athletic department to achieve the goals established for our student athletes.           

            It is a desire and charge of your athletic board to not only perpetuate, but enhance the best environment and facilities for our athletes.  This, of course, can only be achieved by the significant service and financial support of our student athlete parents.  We have many opportunities for you to contribute to our Booster initiatives with your time and talents.  We need everyone’s involvement to ensure success of our athletic programs.

            I encourage you to join our Eagle Club, attend our athletic events and participate in our monthly athletic booster meetings.  Thank you for supporting Oak Mountain High School Athletics as we work together to make our athletic programs the best in the state.
